Just enough

So this last Tuesday, I wanted to make a little gift for the Dude, Share the Food team I work with every week. I gathered up the ingredients to make a banana bread recipe I bragged about to the team and they have long awaited. With each ingredient I used, there seemed to be just enough to cover the recipe and throw away the empty container. Just enough shortening, just enough vanilla extract, just enough eggs.... I baked eight little mini-loaves of banana bread and left with just enough time to get to Dude without being too late. We proceeded to make the sandwiches to take to the homeless people and it seems I kept grabbing just enough mayo packets/mustard packets/etc. to complete the task. It then dawned on me to count the number of heads helping this morning to see if I had enough banana bread....sure enough 8 heads....just enough! Phew!!!

And now, four days later, the light bulb came on. God provides us with just enough. Just enough of everything we need, right when we need it.
